# GETTING STARTED: DATA FABRIC OVERVIEW

## Welcome to the DIRECTED Project Data Fabric Platform

In this Gitbook, you will find information on how to set-up and manage the platform, develop and implement features, as well as how to use features in a fully set-up instance of the Data Fabric platform.

The section on [REAL WORLD LABS](/data-fabric-manual/real-world-labs/overview.md) provides the user with concrete examples of Data Fabric features and use cases implemented for the specific region. This section also includes **Interoperability Fact Sheets** to guide users through Data Fabric workflows. The tiles below provide links to each of the Real World Labs sections in this manual.
